Face Your Dreams …
The one question that keep coming up from friends, family, strangers and media is: “Why in the world would you take on something like this?” And every-time the first thing that pops into my head is…. WHY NOT?
Some people might have a bucket list. Some not. Some people might want to travel. Some not. But I believe that everyone have a DREAM!
I always thrive, plan and work hard as possible to reach my dreams. Around 7 Continents has been part of MY DREAMS, bucket list items and now a fixed goal I’m working towards.
2013 has been a roller-coaster ride!! My year started with a three month South East Asia backpacking adventure and that is where I realized that I’m not fully living my dreams. From that point I decided that Im gonna take immediate action… look at my dreams and start to make that dreams a reality!!
Its been eight months since I made the decision and started our Around 7 Continents planning. Now its only seven days before we leave to Oz to start our cycling adventure of a lifetime!
As the days goes past, I get more and more frustrated and irritated. Thousand things to do with only 165 hours before we get plane, it feels like the hours is ticking by like seconds. Think this feeling is normal when you get the feeling you don’t have enough time to get to all the things you need to attend to.
Everyone keep going on and on about physicality… but let me tell you something everyone misses… Mental preparation and actual adventure planning! I know the first two months is going to be physical very tough, but I’ll handle it as it comes. The important thing until now was to get to the point where we are and start the adventure. The last few months i’ve been more drained, tired and focus driven than in anything I’ve taken on before.
Don’t know if its been stress or just something in the air, but been sick since Sunday. For the first time I felt better today. Atleast we know the bicycles are on the ship and on its way to Sydney!! Can’t wait to finally see them when we get to Oz.
The final week has finally arrived and now just need the get all the last few small things in place!
